Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Foundation Versus Lancome Nude Miracle Matte Foundation Review

Matte Foundation Review Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Foundation  Versus Lancome Nude Miracle

Do you love Matte Foundation? Have you been looking for the perfect one and still not sure which one is good for your skin? Today I will be giving a review on the Urban Decay Naked Skin and Lancome Nude Miracle liquid foundations.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless foundation.
I have combination skin and I absolutely loved almost everything about this foundation.

Texture: It is very, very airy and really feels like you are wearing nothing on your skin. I really love how light it feels and doesn’t transfer on your hands, clothes, or anything. When I wear this foundation I do not have to set it with any powder, it dries to a matte, and doesn’t set in lines or feel dry, and doesn’t get patchy. Can it get any better?!?

Formula: It has a very light, liquid formula so when you pump it out, it looks almost like water. That’s totally okay, because that does not diminish the quality of the foundation. You just have to remember to shake it very well before each use.

Coverage: Medium coverage and buildable. If you choose the right shade, it will cover redness as well.

Cons: I really, really, wanted to stick with this foundation forever, because I loved it THAT much! However, I had to stop because it was irritating my skin. After several weeks of use, my skin got red in random patches, tiny breakouts started appearing, and the texture of my skin was getting worse by each use.  There is some ingredient that is not working well with my skin that I may possibly be allergic to, so I had to stop using it. This may not be true for your skin, but just pay attention if you do start using it.

The Lancome Nude Miracle Foundation

Texture:  The texture of this foundation is also very airy. I would say this is more of a semi-matte finish and may need to be set with powder depending on your skin.  Personally, I do have to set mine with powder when I use this foundation.

Formula: The formula of this foundation is also very light and runny. You do need to shake it well before use, so if you don’t mind that, it’s lovely!

Coverage:  The coverage is also a medium coverage. I was hoping to match Urban Decay’s Naked Foundation shade 3 exactly, but the colors are slightly different and have more of neutral undertones than yellow undertones as I was hoping.  It does cover redness if you choose the right shade for your skin.

Cons:  I was really hoping that this foundation with set exactly the same way urban decay’s foundation did without needing to set with powder, but I find when I don’t set it with powder, it tends to transfer on my hands and everywhere else.  I also wish they had more options with shades that had yellow undertones, but it is fairly close to the color I was looking for.

Pros:  NO BREAKOUTS! NO ALLERGIC REACTION! Definitely feels much healthier on my skin, and I can wear it consecutively without any worries.
Overall, you just have to listen to your skin, its needs, and then choose what you think will suit you best.

I hope this review was helpful to everyone, please don’t hesitate if you have any additional questions!

Have a lovely day!!!

LUSH!

LUSH HAUL!

If you have not discovered  Lush, you are seriously missing out!!! Today I will be succinctly reviewing 3 products I purchased from Lush a few weeks ago:
1)  Lush Ocean Salt 2) Lush Santa Lip Scrub 3) Lush Mint Julep Lip Scrub & 1 sample called Lush Buche De Noel Face Cleanser.

My Thoughts...

Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub:

Oh my! I passionately love the scent of this face and body scrub! It has light blue color and smells absolutely amazing!!! It is pretty pricy so I save this to pamper myself once a week.

Uses: Because the texture of this scrub is pretty coarse, I actually only use this on my body and not my face.  I love using it on my arms and elbows and neck. The scent stays for a little bit after you use it, and my skin also feels super soft afterwards.

Lush Santa Lip Scrub:

So apparently this is a seasonal thing that only comes out during the holiday season in December.
It smells like coca cola, and I actually did not like the scent too much.

The texture is a lot finer than the mint lip scrub and had a lot more of the coca cola flavored syrup compared to the mint lip scrub. It also has some hearts on top which did nothing for the lips, but just looked cute in the jar and made a big red mess in the sink. It also doesn’t work too well, as far as, exfoliating your lips.

Lush Mint Julep Lip Scrub:

I love this stuff! It works well, and smells good (minty sweet), and I use it whenever my lips feel dry. (Mostly after using matte lipsticks) If you have never used a lip scrub before and have days when your lips feel really dry, I recommend this lip scrub.

Lush Buche De Noel Face Cleanser:

This was a sample and I actually only used it once.

Verdict?

It made my skin feel soft,  has a bit of a strong scent, which isn’t too bad, but I didn’t like it too much.Nothing about it really stood out.

Would I purchase? I don’t think I will be purchasing this cleanser, no.

Here is a picture of my haul, comment below if you have any additional questions.

Hope everyone's holiday season was lovely and hope you are all enjoying 2015. CHEERS!

The BEST Natural Face Mask with Ingredients Straight from your Home!

I wanted to share a face mask that I make and use that I am absolutely in love with!

What I love about it is, it uses simple ingredients, easy to make, and your face will thank you for using it, really! Just a heads up before I give the ingredients and let you lovely people throw a face mask party, if you are allergic to any of the 3 ingredients used, please DO NOT make this mask and DO NOT put it on your face!

You have been warned. ;)

One last thing,, when I make this mask my face tingles, not in a painful way, I actually like the feeling.

Finally, here are the ingredients I use to make the mask which I found a while ago on the internet and just can't remember where. I did modify it because the original I read made way too much, and I would end up throwing most of it away.

Ingredients:

1 Tablesoon Plain Yogurt
1 Teaspoon of Honey
2 Tablespoons of Banana

Mix it up, smush it up, put it on your face. Leave it on your face for 10-20 minutes and then, rinse it off with water.

That's it ladies and gentlemen!

After rinsing, your face will feel like it died and went to heaven! The only way you will understand what I am talking about is if you try it.

Benefits:

Honey is good for  dry skin, skin with acne, wrinkles,  infection.

Yogurt - The lactic acid in yogurt helps with exfoliating and moisturizing your skin, and helps reduce the wrinkles in your skin. (a triple whammy!)

Banana-  The potassium in banana is good for keeping your skin hydrated and moist and the lectins in banana help protect your skin from bacteria.

There are a lot more benefits the all three ingredients have that are beneficial for your skin, but I kind of touched up on few of the basics. I hope this is helpful to all, and if you are still reading this, I know for a fact you are thinking about making that youthful mask that will have your skin glowing and breathing ever-so happily!

Have a lovely Thanksgiving Holiday everyone!

NARS Audacious Lipstick Review and Swatches

I can use one word to describe this lipstick,,, WOW!

I love it! Boy is it on the pricy side, but the only way you will really know what I am talking about is if you get to do your lips a favor and try it on! I am not going to ramble on about this, but I will put a check list of all the great things the NARS Audacious lipstick has to offer followed by some swatches.

Why is it “WOW”?

1)    Creamy Texture

6)    Something about the way the colors play with your face, just like caffeine, it makes everything better

7)    Amazing Pigmentation

Nars Blush Orgasm Review

Let’s talk about blush, possibly the best blush a girl can find out there!
The award of the best blush goes to……

NARS!

Here’s why:

I discovered the NARS blush years ago and I am so glad I did! Having sensitive skin, this has worked really well with my skin, and I have never had any breaking out problems. They last a decent amount of time (for me approximately 5-6 months, and I use it almost every day) and the color selection is just fabulous!!! The one I have been using forever is called Orgasm. It is a pinky peach with a modest amount of shimmer.

What other blushes have I tried?

I have tried the following blushes:

Mac blush (which I probably bought over a decade ago and still have!)

Result? Wearing it once is fine, but if I wear it 2 or 3 days in a row, my face will start to break out.

bareminerals Ready Blush

Result? It has a very velvety texture and no breakouts, but I only get about 4 hours of wear, and then it starts to fade and look a little patchy.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush

Result? I love it, no breakouts, but it is very pigmented and you have to use a light hand with this blush, because if you use too much, it looks very in your face, like “Hi, I’m wearing BLUSH” kind of way.

So let’s run through the pros and cons of the NARS in a checklist, then you get to see swatches (wohoo).

Pros
1)      Great Color Selection
2)      Great Pigmentation
3)      Lasts all day
4)      No breakouts on my skin
5)      Great Packaging (No, I don’t mind that it tends to get a little dirty)

Cons
1)      The only con really is that once I hit pan, my blushes start breaking apart into tiny annoying pieces  and that gets pretty messy.

Retail Value
The retail value of this blush is $30. Personally, I think it is worth considering it lasts a long time for me.

Finally, pictures and swatches of the infamous Nars blush!

Have a lovely day!!
